OK, While tearing the engine down I came acrossed something. While taking the rod caps off I noticed that the #1 and #4 caps where different then the #2 and #3. My question is should they be different, or did someone take my engine apart once and put it back together wrong?
On the connecting rods you have the little notches that the bears that allow them to seat. To my understanding those notches should be facing oppisite ends. They are on the #2-#3 rods. The #1-#4 rods they are facing each other. Is this something Toyota does or did someone put them in wrong? I can post pictures if I am not clear of my question. Thank you. Check your timing again. If the car doesn't crank... you can manually jump the starter to crank it. From the cranking stage... check fuel, check spark, etc.
