QUOTE how long your engine last depends on how you treat it. the turbo timers only cool the engine oil, so you get more miles out of your oil when you drive your car real hard. actually, the purpose of a TT is to allow the oil that is flowing in the TURBO to cool off some after hard driving. if you shut your car off after hard boosting, the oil in the turbo is so hot that it actually starts to "cook" in there, and cakes up the oil journals ect and kills your turbo over time. even the BGB for the 'trac tells you never to shut the car off immediatly after hard driving or "towing", to give it at least 20sec to cool a bit. the TT is just a fancy way of doing that without having to sit there and wait. driving the car easy the last 5 min or so of your ride has basicly the same effect. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
