i've reading about this missing link or something... what is it? what dose it do? where dose it go do i need it running 5psi?

you still have to install a map sensor, because the stock one will fuel cut the car as soon as it sees any boost.

You mean with the piggyback? Actually, if you use larger injectors most stock map sensors will read some boost, and you just reduce the signal with the piggyback.
