I have the bracket from the ST185 tranny bolted to the MR2 tranny. I do have spacers, however, I dont believe the spacers are in the right position. Symptoms I'm having: neutral is way more forward than it should be, hard to find gears, hard shifting in general. I can move the levers with my hand w/no problem, leading me to believe that the slack in the cables is the cause of the problem.

If the spacer is allowing the clip to keep everything tight, you may just need to modify the braket... A simple cut and weld job. Have someone help you out. Put the lever in the right spot for each gear, then figure out how much each spot is off... Go to welding shop, have them modify it and you are done.

And probably only out $20. wink.gif
