 Antenna help? |

Well on my 94 celica gt I have just installed a new stereo system and the old power antenna only goes up and down a few inches.
-Is there a quick fix for these? -If not where is the best place to buy one???? I don't want to the sell the farm for antenna, but I would like to keep it a powered model.... Thanks guys!!!!! |

mostly likely its the mast... I know when i first got the car.. the antenna would only go up 1/3 of the way and then just sound like it was grinding.. so i figured the motor was bad... so i pulled the entire thing and did a standard antenna conversion... but came to find out it was just the plastic mast teeth were broken. You can get one on ebay for like $40...
 anywho.... someone stole the antenna so I went back and put in a universal power antenna and hooked it to a switch so I can control when it goes up... so it can look nice when i'm listening to cd's or at shows... but when i need the FM, i can just turn that baby on and let 31" of antenna bring in a signal
