4agze swap Options

hey i was just wondering all u say and i know that because of the engine codes the 4agze drops stright into the st but would u all need for this to be possible because i got some money and i am trying to figure out just what to do and i know u can't just drop the new engine in and be finished. and wut if u have auto and u buy one with stick how hard is it to change and how much is that?

I have an ST sitting in the garage (I'm trying to sell it) but if it doesn't, I want to do the 4AGZE swap (AE101).. Car is in great condition, except it has 160,000 Miles (well, it does run well still, no problems with the engine - maintained well - should last quite a bit longer) - swapping should rejuvinate it

tpautomotive has an AE101 front clip in stock but it's 3K (yipes, before shipping)..

My wife thinks my Celica ST is heavy (well, I think she means that it's underpowered ..

Anybody know if such a swap is legal in California?
