IMPOUND LOT? Options

Do you guys think it is a good idea to go to the impound lot and if there is a 6gc celica there...buy it? I want to go search for the GT4 engines if there are any at the impound lot...although i know i have no chance of finding a 6gc celica that has a GT4 engine...just want to go digging for parts like junk yard! I know this is a lame topic, but just like to ask...

I went to the impound or car wrecking yard and I was juss there with a buddy who was looking for a new fan blade for his supra. And as we are walking around we see nothing but garbage cars that have been completly stripped. Then we get to the back of the yard and I start drooln. It was a black 93 celica all-trac. motor was in perfect condition and the interior was pretty much too accept I think the airbag was deployed. The reason the car was there was because someone rear ended it and the frame got a little bent. But it wasn't bad at all. The owner of the car lot didn't know what he had or how much he could sell it for.I asked him how much he wanted for the entire car and he said $1200 , I was bout to buy it but then he told me that his son wanted the car and his son was gonna give him the amount. Point of the story is if u have time on ure hands then why not, who knows what you will find.
