 ECU Help, My ecu might be bad! |

Ok so I have been having some troubles with my celica. I think my ecu is going or is dead. Does any one know how to test the ecu?

It won't start! No spark I get gas but no spark. And I just replaced my distributer again (sorry nik my dad thought this would work). So we have been checking electrical, but him and I don't have that much experience with this. We do have a chilton's and we fallowed its dignostic instrucions and it narrowed it down to the ECU, but we both are going to be pissed if we buy a $125 ECU and it doesn't work! Any thoughts, possible other faults in the system, etc. would be a huge help.
Thanks, TJ Forkee mine used to idle high too but it was due to a stuck open thermostat which caused it to try to come up to temp constantly during the winter with the radiator cooling the antifreeze constantly.
