well, the clip i bought and then sold to zipstrips was through STI. i was supposed to by buying one, but obviously my #'s weren't adding up nicely.
Well w/ the SC i have, this isn't the same. i have the money at this point, and i WAS having a chunk of extra cash to the side for any problems, but....i found this: The Best Clip EVAR!!! so yea. I used the side cash to pay for the difference in that, and since i'm running ALL stock this should be pretty reliable. Still have cash there for fluids, and regular maintenance. just had to share...sooooooo happy  i'm limited to how many smilies i can have

kinda makes me want to buy a lexus and swap a 2jz into it someday. seems like the price range is just about the same as a 3s swap in a celica.

I got a ride in an automatic 2jz swapped 4 door RWD lexus (maybe GS300 or GS400?). The engine was still in stock form except for the FMIC and Exhaust. It was fast but what struck me was (1) how quiet it was despite the full 3" exhaust (its amazing what dual exhaust with 2 mufflers and 2 resonators can do); and (2) how absolute mushy the ride was.
