I personally wouldn't bother with the older VZ series motors... those things are pretty nightmarish when it comes to the heads and the power output isn't spectacular... so stick with the 1MZ. That's the best reasonably swappable V6. The 3MZ is a viable option also, considering it's the exactly same thing as the 1mz except it's bored out... but it's just a load more expensive...
