 HELP!!!, Something weird going on...(video) |

So the other day I was driving in traffic for 3 hours in the rain, when I noticed that my battery light was coming on. I eventually pull over and check everything out under the hood, everything seems to be ok. Then when I go to start the car it barely turns over, but it starts. I NOTICE THAT WHEN I TRY TO HOLD THE RPMS AT A CONSTANT RATE OVER 2000 RMP, THE CAR SEEMS TO DROP DOWN ABOUT 200 RPM THEN GO BACK UP (SEE VIDEO).
Today I went to autozone and they hooked me up to their electrical diagnostics (as I had suspected my alternator was bad), and they found that I was putting out alright voltage, but I was only making .8 amps(!), so I replaced my alt, and my car is still doing the same thing with the reving. hmmmmm........... resetting the ecu or replacing the battery is my best bet, how old is the battery?
