OK, While tearing the engine down I came acrossed something. While taking the rod caps off I noticed that the #1 and #4 caps where different then the #2 and #3. My question is should they be different, or did someone take my engine apart once and put it back together wrong?
On the connecting rods you have the little notches that the bears that allow them to seat. To my understanding those notches should be facing oppisite ends. They are on the #2-#3 rods. The #1-#4 rods they are facing each other. Is this something Toyota does or did someone put them in wrong? I can post pictures if I am not clear of my question. Thank you. after my swap ive been having that same problem with the oil pressure light. Havent figured it out yet but it only does it when the oil gets warm enough, like getting off the highway or after a long drive, but when i rev it up, it goes away.
as for your lifter noise, run some seafoam through your gas, you can pick up a can of it from any autozone for like 5 bux, i think you use a half can on a full tank but dont qoute me. that should help your lifter noise, they r prob just sticking a little, mine were too. -------------------- ![]() The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed? |
