bah it seems like every car is to 'blah' (for lack of better workds) for me. I looked into the STI (and its still my main choice atm) but for $32k I cant really do much mods to it. I started looking into the rx7's which sounded pretty cool for a moment until I started doing more research and found out they only last for about 50k miles then the engine blows. Supra, to expensive and now im just lookin for a newcar thats kinda rare and fun to drive. Any ideas?

That's not true at all. A rotary engine can last atleast 100k miles and then it should get a rebuild. If you take good care of the engine it will last long. Don't go racing around without the engine heating up first. Make sure you have proper cooling before doing anything stupid. Don't up the boost without doing any prerequisites. Don't just race around and then suddently shut off the engine without letting it cool down 1-2 minutes first. Don't drive around hitting the rev limit (around 9000rpm) for 2 months and then blaming it on the engine. I'm sure that a well taken care of rotary engine can last 150k miles too.. Before needed any special treatment. Of course you will have to change the oil and do regular tune ups like on any vehicle. It'a a high rpm engine. It's a turbo engine. End of story. Any high rpm turbo engine will need proper care and maintenance. It's nothing special about the rotary. -------------------- |

Btw a RB swap in a 98 240SX could be something you like...fun to drive and rare. relatively speaking. -------------------- ![]() -Rémy 02 SiR, 08 250R |
