i have recently been in contact with a guy who is picking up flood damaged celicas, i put a want it now ebay ad saying i needed a celica with a blown motor/transmission for a swap.
what do you all think of this, what do you think would need to be replaced aside from things that would be replaced during a swap anyway? thanks -brian |

QUOTE(95CelicaST @ Mar 1, 2006 - 12:03 AM) Unless you plan on repainting everything You have a pretty good chance of running into a whole lot of rust. If you do go through with it, be sure you take everything out and check for bubbles no matter how you paint it, it will still rust. some parts of the frame are hollow and will hold water long after the car has been dried out. So it will rust from the inside out, parts where you dont see. The water in the electrical is another thing. I would not touch a flooded celica with a ten foot pole. |
