im sure youve all seen the episode of seinfeld where jerry attempts the "roommate swap." well im taking it a step further buahahaha. i recently broke up with my gf, and will attempt to get with her lifelong best friend. still not sure if i should, but damnit im gunna try. trust me its not as bad as it sounds, i left out a lot of info that makes me pretty confident .

so hit me with all of your encouragement or criticism.

as for relationships, its not all about getting laid for me. in this recent thread advice, you will see how i think a relationship should be: "living together doesnt make it mature either, or sex. a mature relationship is one in which a couple can share their happiness, instead of relying on their happiness through their partner."

a little tangent here, but it seems as though you are taking the typical "nice" guy stand. there is a argument ongoing in our csu paper in the student ramtalk section about why "nice" guys finish last and why girls seem to always get with "jerks". the problem isnt being nice, its that most "nice" guys are TOO nice and they let the girl control everything about the relationship. and most "nice" guys need to grow a pair, do something, and quit complaining. being nice is very important (no excuse to be mean ever), but you have to show her youre in control of yourself. and since you took a shot at me, im willing to bet that not only are you single now, but you havnt been in a serious relationship for a long time.

If these girls are really such good friends, then unless your ex's best friend doesnt have a backbone, you stand no chance with her.

But, if something does happen, then there is noone else to blame except your ex's friend because thats her responsiblity to determine what is morally right to keep her friendship together. If there such lifelong friends, then your exs friend would never even dream of being with you. Unless of course, both girls are very very open about their dating, which happens.

thank you. thats exactly whats going through my mind. she made a point to tell me they dont hang out often anymore.

also, i probably went too far saying lifelong best friends in first post, theyre just friends.
