hey as some of u know i'm getting ready 2 swap the engine in my 96 celica, with a 3sgte one. should i use a intercooler kit or should i cut the hood and place a hood scoop, will the air flow still work good or should i go with the intercooler???help me out guys thanks

A hood scoop is fine... get a spal pusher fan and heat soak won't be a problem at all. The stock intercooler design is perfectly fine.


Spal fan wont fit under the stock hood, least the one I tried, and even then its not comparable to a w2a or fmic.

When I switched from the stock air to air WITH a hoodscoop to the water2air top mount the difference was definately noticable. I think just about everyone is going to say the same thing, get rid of that piece of garbage.
