they're good cars, my friend at work has a Golf GTi (I think it's a 2003). Really good power, he hasn't had any problems with the car.
My problem with it was traction. We had one in the wholesale lot at work, I pulled it out for a drive. Had a bigger turbo, different exhaust, aftermarket clutch, and somethin else I can't remember what the list had in the car. When it hit boost it SPUN the front tires, not like a chirp but like scary spinning the tires. After that I noticed that even my friend's stock GTi did the same, not to the same degree but if you gunned it in a corner you just went straight lol. I would say if you're going to get one, a good investment would be tires. I'm not sure if the car has LSD or not (I'm guessing it doesn't by the way it handled) but I would say to get an aftermarket LSD setup if the car doesn't have it already. -------------------- 1999 Celica GT
