Are you Just going to cut the stock with a jig saw, and bondo on a fg hood scoop ? Would not look to good IMHO. But if it fits your budget, it would work. :-) > will the air flow still work good or should i go with the intercooler??? > help me out guys thanks It depends on your skills with the saw and the scoop you chose ? :-) Maybe find a damaged ST185 hood and graft on the scoop ? Would be Unique. I have seen it in an ST16# series, never on an ST20#. I have an ST185, with a SPAL fan with some heat insulation under the IC as well, Both do stop the heat soak. It really makes a difference in stop and go traffic. Fine for stock hp and a litte more. Much More and a FMIC or W/A set up makes More sense. If you can pick up an ST185 CS W/A or an ST205 W/A IC, that would also solve your problem. Maybe easier to mount, than a FMIC, run water lines a pump; then IC "bolts on". ? IMHO. # presure2 # Posted Mar 3, 2006 - 11:53 AM # the stock IC is barely adequate, even @ stock boost levels. Pressure2 has been around US ST185 guys enough. He has the main idea down.
