so im out driving my celica around. and any time i boost the coolant temp guage rapidly goes up. so i stop boosting and then it goes down. full coolant wasnt low.
![]() ok the sensor thats in the top right hand corner the one you cant see in the pic has nothing connected to that wire no place to hook it up to. could that be the problem. if so which i think it must. what do i do. am i missing where that plugs into? -------------------- |

John,
I was afraid of that I have a set of head bolts if you want them, you can have them for what they costed me. Do NOT put in a larger than stock head gasket unless you're doing it just to return the deck height to normal. You do not need to lower your compression any more than it is, and either way, a larger head gasket is the WORST way to do it. A larger head gasket basically eliminates the "quench" area around the edge of the piston/combustion chamber which is so essential to preventing detonation. Also, I would highly recommend that you bring the head to a machine shop to be checked to make sure it's straight. -Doc This post has been edited by Dr_Tweak: Mar 10, 2006 - 5:35 PM -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |
