2 airbags, 2 front crash sensors, and ecu?
what about a clock spring, is this a one time usage piece? does the passenger airbag door need to be replaced? http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=12506& this thread in particular makes it sound like replacing airbags is near impossible, however it is old and more recent threads have suggested only the parts i listed above. which is it? thanks again everyone for putting up with so many questions -brian |

out of curiousity, gas, where did you hear that you needed to replace the clock spring?
ive been reading up, and it looks like the clock spring just completes the circuit and allows things like cruise control, radio, airbags etc, to receive electrical current while the steering wheel turns up to 360 degrees. you can test your clockspring with a multimeter for continuity, which is what i plan to do, but i do not see how its a one time use piece. |
