I know that someone posted a how-to on this, but I've heard a different way to wire it up. The how-to that's listed says that the ECU is behind the glovebox. I talked to SpedToe169, who also has the S-AFC, and he said the ECU is behind the center console. Can anyone confirm where the ECU is?
Now about the air/fuel gauge installation... I read a previous post about where to hook up the A/F gauge but it was never really made clear which wire to splice into. Can someone help me out with this one? |

I'd like to keep all of my wires out from under the hood if possible. Doesn't the O2 wire from the air/fuel gauge wire into the same wire the AFC does?
Also, the gauge I bought requires a 5 amp/12V power source. There are no 5 amp fuses in our cars so what do I run the hotwire to? I'm pretty sure that it HAS to be wired into something that's run by a 5 amp fuse, because my friend and I are currently trying to install the same type of gauge in his car and wiring into the cig. lighter doesn't work (run by a 15 amp fuse). The fuse pops every time we try that. We're going to wire into the gauges tomorrow since his are run by a 5 amp fuse and see what happens. |
