QUOTE(JFrost9 @ Mar 15, 2006 - 10:45 PM) im too lazy to read that, but whats a blu-ray player? I was dissapointed with the xbox 360... but i think in a few months once they release more and they get those dumb kinks worked out it'll be all good. Blue-Ray is a technology that utilizes a "blue" laser to read discs. I'm not going to go into all the techie talk, but basically it allows for discs to be compressed more to allow more data storage. It also improves the quality of movies among other things. HD-DVD is another next-gen format that uses a blue laser technology and is produced by Toshiba. It stores less data on dics but is easier to develop in comparison to blue-ray and will allow the consumer to play thier old DVD's as well. As for the 360... any next gen console is going to have games that don't quite live up to gamers expectations. Look at PS2 when it launched. Developers need more time to get accustomed to the new technology. They have some bad azz games coming out though. ![]() This post has been edited by Kodak: Mar 15, 2006 - 10:54 PM |
