my 7afte seems to have white smoke coming out of the muffler everytime I rev it to 6000 rpm or higher. what could be the problem? im a newbie with the turbo thats why i dont know how to diagnose the problem. tnx!

QUOTE You said it...7A-FTE. First, make sure the turbo feed is exactly at 12 o' clock...which will put the drain exactly at 6 o' clock. Then make sure you don't have any kinks in the return line. Also, get a restrictor for the oil line. The 7A-FE oil pressure is insase. I've rebuilt my turbo like 3 times in less than 5,000 miles. My car smoked so bad, it wasn't funny. Out of all the poeple here, I have had the worst luck with the smoking. Now it's fixed, but it smokes a bit because the seal is going out. I have to get the restrictor. I don't live where my car is, so when I get to drive it, I DRIVE it...screw the turbo. whats an oil restrictor anyone has picture? Im not sure if the car has one already since its a toms factory tuned 7afte. Im still not familiar with some of the parts of the turbo since its my first time to have a turbo car. |
