Is it necessary that you clean your air intake? How does one go about doing that? Thanks all.

Galcobar is right. You can only wash/re-use cotton filters, not the paper kind. You probably don't remember, but the package your filter came in usually says what the filter material is made of.
I know somebody here said they have a cheap cone filter, but that isn't a bad thing. I have an "inexpensive" cone filter that uses hi-flow cotton and can be washed/re-oiled just like a K&N. The only difference is I paid $30 less for this filter. It sucks in air like you wouldn't believe, everybody I know (even the muscle car guys) likes the way it sounds. - Bill |
