i think the practice of deleting threads around here is lame. i can understand locking or moving stuff.... but if i remember correctly, there was some good info in that thread for others to learn from.

Agreed. Why get rid of information that could help others? Isn't that what the forum is all about? This ability to self delete and moderator deleting posts is really short sighted IMO.
