Just a few questions I have searched the web for some answers and have found nothing. I know not many 6 gen celicas came with a 3sfe. So not a lot of info on a swap for the motor or tranny or even the wiring. Most of the cars I have been reading about are st205. Is there that big of a difference for a st202? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Found a wiring harness on this site from Top Fuel,but cant find a web site to see if it will work for my st202 (3sfe). Are the motor mounts and tranny mounts going to be different? Another quick question how can I tell what my tranny(the 5spd) is and where it came from. Is there a plate on it or something that would be unique from one another??

OK that changes things, I just looked in your profile
the fact that you have a JDM RHD Celica in the country is pretty rare, but being that that is a "S" series engine, the ST205 (3s-gte) will mount up to you existing motor mounts and you should be able to use the tranny you have already. I do not know if the 3s-fe tranny is as strong as the 5s tranny, but you should upgrade to a stronger tranny (93+ MR2 w/LSD, or V6 Camry or Solora tranny) because of the power the 3s will be putting out. -------------------- |

What power did the american engines put out ? We got 3sge and 3sfe GT engines putting out 180bhp and 140bhp (roughly) wasnt these in the us versions ? P.s try www.toyotaownersclub.com for info on the 3sfe nope we got slapped with the slow stick here in the states  . usdm ST got the 7afe: 110hp and the GT got the 5sfe: 135hp.
