 Timming belt, When to change |

My 97 st has 148k. Got it w/109k. Belt was done by prev. ownr. What is the proper interval btwn. changes?
Is the motor what they call free wheeling so valves won't bend if the belt does go? Thanks |

The 7A is a non-interference engine, so it wont bend the valves.
