This should probably be in the Engine/Transmission/Maintainence forum.
Anyways, your best bet is to get a clip. Forget about the body panels, most won't come with them and if they do you will end up paying more for it. With a clip you are getting exactly what you need, and sometimes extra aftermarket parts. If you were to get a motor set, you might not get certain parts to make your swap more complete (like the exhaust down pipe with the flex section) Other than the engine, you will need the Air Flow Meter, Ignitor & Coil, and complete wiring harness with ECU. The prices of the motors range from $350-1000, with the clips from $1500-2000 (they are everywhere on Ebay). Just be sure to check what all comes with what you purchase. It might be easier for you to purchase a clip and do a basic swap or just get a motor and run a stand-alone engine management system. Its really what you can afford that will determine what you get. www.club4ag.com is a great source of info. I imagine you could get everything done quickly provided you can do the wiring or pay someone to do it for you fast, and get all your parts together ahead of time. Although it will probably take longer than what your timeframe will allow. If you have any questions, send me a PM and I will help you as best I can. Good luck. -Colin |
