Yesterday i had a street race against a sierra cosworth rs500 and while i activated the nitrus beck the tube nearly exploded! Thank to my mechanic i had an extra safety valve that propably worked and stopped the nos supplyment to my intake. Some people there told me that propably this happened because of overheated intake, but i dont think that the temp was so high to cause this problem, and in the past i have use the nos, with much more temp. Does anyone know something about this problem or had something like this in the past?? I dont want to know what would happened if the 10 lbs of the bottle would explode, but i dont want to loose the extra (just in case) boost!!
Is there any website with a specific forum about the nitrus oxide systems, or some advanced informations about troubleshooting??

I would direct your concerns to the company that made your nitrous setup simply because they will know best how to fix the problem. I'm not too sure why the nitrous would explode back into the line like that, unless it delivers fuel along with the nitrous like a wet system and it detonated prematurely somewhere along the way.

I would definately ask the manufacturer's technical support staff because chances are they will know best. Perhaps somebody more well-informed than me can give a better suggestion. wink.gif
