 Decisions With Tires/Rims, Need Some Help |

my front driver side tire is no good. the thing is, that rim is so bent that the tire cant stay on the bead right so no matter what tire i put on it, the same thing will eventually happen... the tire loses pressure and i end up filling it up over and over just to keep the car on the road.
so i have some options: a. remove all rims and ride around in my stock 14s while i 'refurbish' my 18 adr cypher rims which are real nice. i would have to hammer them all a bit and repaint them. buy new tires. total cost maybe $20 for refurbishing materials and 200-300 for new 18" tires. b. buy brand new 16" 7gc gt-s rims/tires. total cost around $500. what would you guys do in my situation? i mean, obviously it might be better to go with brand new stuff, but a lot of people have those gt-s wheels and theyre 16s... i love my 18s and ive never seen them on the road here in miami. not even on 6gc. the only one ive seen is the guy with the orange celica. so most affordable is option a. but i want to know if its worth it. i have to hammer out all the bends in my rims cuz my car shakes like a mother cuz of them. i would appreciate some advice. im not rich, if it helps. lol. im a big fan of the gts wheels, but again, id rahter have 18s. i just wnat to make sure all the work to refurbish them doesnt go to waste because i dont know if theyll be as strong as brand new. thanks. --------------------  |

I would go with (A) if you knew what you were doin.
I'm dont know if you can actually hammer them out to how they were originally and I dont think they will be as strong as they were.
