heres the deal.... nirtous oxide will not harm ur engine when u use the right system and it is installed properly. ANY vehicle can withstand a 76 hp shot of nitrous with completly stock parts repeateadly without ne damage to the engine or componets. this is as long as the system is installed properly....
The problem with most people is that they will engage the nitrous at the wrong times. any type of nitrous must be engaged at wide open throttle ONLY!. The problem with most systems are that they are just controled by a switch that can be used at ne time.... thus putting the engine at risk... expesially if it is a timed or delayed shot. One of the best systems on the market right now for under $600 is the ZEX kit. the ZEX kit is very easy to install and is completley safe for ur motor. this kit is not controled by a pust button switch.. this system conects to ur throttle sensor and when armed with deliver nitrous when the throttle is at wide open only. This is really nice for automatics, but is good for manuals also... another nice thing about this system is that the nitrous is continus. not just a shot or two but will engage everythime the throttle is at wide open and as long as it is wide open... but this is only when the system is armed.... also the system comes with a plug and play unit the learns the air/fuel curve of ur car and will adjust accorrdingly. I would reccomend that if u plan on using nitrous with more than a 76hp shot or plan on using it on a regular basis then u will need to look into reenforcing ur intreals of ur motor. -------------------- ![]() 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |
