Thought I would share, here is the big front mount we built for a customers 96 celica, we swapped in a JDM ST185 3SGTE, and a JDM MR2 Five speed (was an suto) and built him a huge FMIC at my shop (Kingsland Customs) in Portage Wisconsin.

Madmike, thats a great looking swap. Keep up the good work.
![]() In all reality, any FMIC piping that goes over the motor like that will inevitably soak a good deal of heat. I doubt there will be any significant difference between any of the common routes, except for maybe clocking the turbo downward which might drop the air charge temp a few degrees at best. I would think that possibly the most functional FMIC setup on a swap would be to clock the turbo downward, and then route the cold (return) end like Bboy's piping and then wrap the hell out of the pipes with heat wrap. If looks are a bigger concern I don't see how it could look any better than the way Madmike has his though. Definately sexy. ![]() -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
