Oh boy.
Okay, #1, if you're going to be soldering be sure you're doing it right, you need a good iron, flux paste, and the right kind of solder. Otherwise your connections will be crappy and give you more trouble (I've repaired many harnesses with "soldered" connections that were just scarey). Resistor pack, there's one wire that carries power TO it, and four wires that carry power back. The one wire that has power going to it is the larger of the four on the harness (normally they are black with an orange stripe) and that wire goes to the one on the resistor pack that is a different color than the rest. I think the white one (and the rest are black). The order of the other four doesn't matter. The fan relay wire wasn't hooked up, that's pretty common for people to do. Your fan will run all the time with that configuration. (That wire comes from the fusebox plug, right?) Or, buy a fan temp switch from an ST and install that on your 3SGTE, and hook that wire up. The other two wires don't worry about, at least for now. -Doc -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |
