If any one knows please post, thanks 3.9 Quarts. That's just for the 5sfe, the 2.2 liter. The 7afe (1.8liter), can't have exactly the same requirements. Just fill it up till it's full, and no more. Any extra and you will blow gaskets. A quart per liter is crazy advice. It scares me to think there are people out there that believe that and stick with it with motors. I could end up buying a car off someone like that. Well, it is close. But I had a car that was a 1.8 4 cylinder and it only took about 3 quarts. If I would have put 4 in, it would have blown out all over the place. Like I said before, just fill it till it's full. I'm sorry for ripping on ya there LewFX. We have all said things that were pretty far from true before. And usually it's because we ourselves have been told something like that. I just want people to know it's not a good rule to follow at all. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

Why would gaskets blow? if there is more oil then needed it will just stay in the pan. + if car has too much oil it will be wented into the air-intake and then burned in the pistons. Well I put around 4 quart of oil into my car today, should be fine. -------------------- <<AKA THA RUSSIAN>>
