what a week!!
monday new middle-management at work is an ok person, lots of ideas and too much zeal (i can live with that). monday-friday re-decorating the office, lots of boxes and things misplaced (i can live with that). tuesday realized my MVI (motor vehicle inspection) sticker had expired in October '05 had to get it done ASAP (i can deal with that). thursday have to start taking my daughter to a shrink (i can live with that). friday slept in this morning, late for work. (i can deal with that). got a call from my sweetie later this morning in the studio from her cellphone : "The Tracker's (2nd car) front wheel almost fell off! I'm stranded on the highway! Come get me!" I give her the Celi and her limp the tracker to the shop, they can't fit me in until Monday. i think it's a linkage or a ball joint. there goes the money for the springs and/or the wheels (i can even deal with that). what i'm having a hard time with is dealing with all this in the same week!!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhrg!!!!!! this is just plain nuts!!! BTW silver lining...I scored a ticket to the JUNO Awards (Canada's Grammys) for Sunday night www.junoawards.ca i know i sound like a pre-schooler with a scrapped knee but i had to vent somewhere. how was your week? PS you guys rock!!! -------------------- ![]() |

For the past 2 months, I've been waiting to have my 3S put back together so I can start my swap. However, little things seem to always appear with my mechanic. So now it won't be done until god knows when. I'm really getting frustrated with it. I was expecting to have my motor built, car parked and remove the 7A all by thursday....But I'm still waiting...Talk about aggravating. I'm moving to DeKalb Illinois in July because I was recently accepted to Northern Illinois University. So once I move up there (which is like 2 hours away from home), I won't have any time like I do now to work on the car. So the sooner I get started on this, the sooner it can be completed...
I put on my 17s today/yesterday....Somehow, 2 lugnuts on each of my GTS wheels were stripped. I had to take my car down to my local shop to have them rip off the world's worst lugnuts in the world. While they took off the lugs, they managed to strip ALL of the studs...So I had to get those replaced. In doing that, I managed to bumps the brake shoes and somehow knock off the springs in the shoes. What should only have taken a few minutes to swap wheels, ended up taking a few HOURS. It gets better. As I leave the shop, my muffler FALLS OFF. Apparently last year when I had my new one put on, the retarded folks at the exhaust shop did the worst job in the world of melding it on. So the welds broke and became disconnected. So I turned around to have my local shop tac it back on. (thank god my mom is good friends with the owners of this shop and they will help me out at any given time for no charge). -------------------- ![]() |
