 new muffler, will i still pass smog |

just a quick question guys. ive heard that if i just get an aftermarket muffler i will fail the smog inspection. is this true?

actually, the law in mass now states that if you modify your exhaust in ANY way, it will fail.
trust me, i got pulled a couple months ago for "modifyed exhaust" i actually talked to the cop about it, cause i wanted to know exactly what was wrong, cause i bought the magnaflow with the intention of it now being overly loud for that reason. he said, any aftermarket exhaust is illegal in the state of MA. now, how strictly they inforce it where you are in MA is a crap shoot. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
