I got lowering springs for my birthday. Tein S.Techs. I installed the fronts myself, and they were easy, but when I tried to do the back, I stripped the sway bar endlink bolt with the allen key. I ended up taking it to my mechanic to install the rears, new sway bar bushings and diagnose my drivers side power window problem. I got the car back and my mechanic said I needed a new drivers side power door lock/window control. I called up Spitzer Toyota just for a laugh, $220. eBay wanted $40-$50. I ended up getting one from All Foreign Auto Parts in Pittsburgh for $25. Works great.
I painted my calipers blue, to draw attention to the new wheels and tires. I painted the drums black, because they were rusty and I didnt want to call attention to an inferior braking system by painting them blue. I also sprayed the wheelwells with a quick coat of black. I also removed my mudflaps, the bolts were rusted solid, so I just cut off the mudflaps, and will hack-saw off the bolts. In the pics, the wheelwells are a bit muddy, last night me and some buddies went up to Egan Park and its all a dirt road. ![]() High Res Pic ![]() High Res Pic ![]() High Res Pic ![]() High Res Pic ![]() High Res Pic ![]() High Res Pic ![]() High Res Pic ![]() High Res Pic ![]() High Res Pic ![]() High Res Pic And My favorite: ![]() High Res Pic Enjoy! QUOTE(JFrost9 @ Apr 2, 2006 - 8:39 PM) Very nice car, im loving that look. I want a close up of those brakes... the next thing you need is some tint for your windows. This week I'm going to order window roll up/down modules for my alarm. Tint is after that, then I'd like to get some skirts. And Dustin, it's easy to paint the calipers, you can buy caliper paint, or you can use ceremic 500* engine block paint, it's cheaper and its the same thing. Just put a plastic bag over the rotor and slide it under the brake pad. -------------------- |
