So I bought rims tonight for my birthday, but I just need quick answer... Last time I asked this I didnt really understand, but heres my question yall

![]() If you have a set of 17" wheels with a 40 profile tire, like a 215/40/17 for example, they tend to be just a little bit larger in diameter than stock 15" wheels with tires, maybe by half an inch or so. I used that tire size as an example because thats a very common size to put on a 17x7 or 7 1/2" wheel. Of course if you use a larger profile tire like a 45 (better ride quality), the diameter of the wheels with tires will also become larger obviously and will raise your car even higher.
