Whats the other thing next to it that looks like another handbrake? Having the shifter up high keeps it nice and close to the steering wheel. This makes for quicker reactions. I'm wondering what that other lever is too. I don't think it's an e-brake though, cause the car still has the stock, and there's not reason to put it there.
