I wouldn't worry about the build quality of the Sky. The Sky is to a Solstice what a Firebird was to a Camaro. A higher class version.
About the Motor, that GM Ecotec 4 is a helluva motor. The stock bottom end on that thing has already proven to support upwards of 700 HP. It's a freaking tank. And I just saw a Sky on the road a couple of days ago (a perk of living just a couple hours from the plant in DE where the Solstice/Sky are built). It was a steel blue with a tan top (didn't go well), and dang sexy. -------------------- |

Ya sure there's not some internal upgrades going on there? I'm not doubting it can handle a lot; I've heard some impressive things about it, but 700hp seems a little high. I have an uncracked aftermarket rod for a smallblock dodge sitting right here that's good for about 800 ponies and I think it's a little more stout than what they put in a cavalier: ![]() |
