My buddy got pulled over in his s2000 last week in Glendale for loud exhaust (hks highpower). He was going 15mph tops in a construction zone(becuase of mean dips and stuff) and a bike cop pulled him over. At that speed thist car is NOT loud at all. He made him pop his hood. Luckly he had street legal AEM and DC headers. Now he has an appointment with the state ref tommow so we took it off this weekend.
This got me wondering, what if i were to get pulled over, what could happen, what will happen. I know some cops are more lenient than others but i would hate to be in that situation. Does anyone know what the laws are here in california or any state for that matter? or know where to get them? has this happened to anyone, i hope not but i would like hear experienceces if you have them. Thanks, and sorry for the long story |

I've only ever been pulled over once, and it wasn't fun at all.
I just got out of classes, doing about 60-65 on a long stretch of 45 MPH speed limit about 2 miles from my house and just wanted to get home. Just as I approached a blind corner, two state troopers FLEW by me, doing at least 70+ and if you live in Jersey you know how our cops like to set a double standard.... ![]() I see the second trooper smash on his brakes as soon as I look in my mirror and I knew I was screwed. Of course being 2 miles from my house I knew of about a million different ways I could simply "maneuver" my way out of their path and try not to get a ticket.....and thats exactly what I did unfortunately. I dropped it down a gear, and took off to try to put as much length on them as possible, and turned down two very quiet and twisty back roads. Just as I thought they were long gone, I see a white State Police cruiser fly up behind me, almost 5-7 minutes after I had passed them. They ID'ed my car and gave it a look over, and gave me a hard time for "running" and I just played stupid and got off relatively well. Scary for sure. Never do anything stupid like that unless you're POSITIVE that you have no chance of them finding you. ![]() -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
