hey if you were selling a Celica in Decent shape with a 3sgte in it, how much could you expect to get for it?The reason i ask is because my dad is leary about helping me pay for it because one he thinks that i wouldnt keep the car after the swap is done i would just turn around and wouldnt want and i wouldnt get my money out of it, (like selling it) Which i know people are ALWAYS looking for cars like ours or Modded cars in general but could ya'll help me get some proof that a engine swap is worth it. Thanks

Ben

The reason I'm still on the track to swap my car and not sell is that I plan on using it as a cost-effiecient and reliable way to go fast. If you're not spending tons of money on it and doing your own work, chances are you could break even by selling it to the right person. But usually the more desirable the package, the higher dollar you'll get for it.....but don't expect much if its a totally stock coupe other than a 3SGTE.

I'm not going to soak tons of money into any one thing on my car, just trying to get it to where its in much better shape and can perform as well as I've always felt it should from the day I bought it. And if I were to ever sell my car the way it is now I probably wouldn't get nearly as much as its worth to me, so its on with the swap and enjoy having the Celica for a very fun car. smile.gif

Once thats done, I'll have access to a reliable daily driver so that the Celica is only used when its appropriate. It depends on your goals....if its taking alot of persuasion from parents then you should probably just wait until YOU have the money for it, and not worry if they approve or not.
