 What is the idle RPM? |

I've just had the head gasket replaced on my 5sfe but now the engine is noisy in idle and the revs vary from 1600-2000rpm! It's too high and I've gotta take it back, but it would be good to know what the rpms are supposed to be on the 5sfe in neutral. Can anyone help?

I would say that any car when idling without a choke on should be around the 800-1000rpm mark.
My GT is currently idling between 700-800, but at 700 it judders like it wants to stall. Needs a service though. |
