Does the timing belt on the 7afe have any slack on either side?
I checked it by removing the cover when i got my celi. The belt didn't look too bad but i don't remember it having any slack in it. I think one of the gears may have jumped place cause i started it up and was backing up and it just shut off. I checked the plugs to insure they were firing and tried some starting fluid. All it would do is turn over and not start so i pulled the cover to see if the belt broke it is still intact but has about an inch or more of slack in it. So is it supposed to have the slack in it? Was just wondering before i rip it apart. -------------------- 94 st
