 pedal gets stuck, help on a small problem |

Im not really sure where to post this, but i think it may be in the engine/transmission... but when we bought the 99 GT Convertible one the gas pedal on it is very stiff. I dont have this problem with my 94 st...and didnt know if this was just a GT problem or what. The gas pedal is almost stuck unless you push it really hard, which makes it almost impossible to idle at low RPMs (which we use for all the uphill driving around austin)... Is this something i can fix? I hope the explanation is clear enough.

I had a similar problem. Turns out that the intake valve in my throttle body was all gummed up. I just sprayed some carburetor cleaner in there and wiped out the gook, since then everything's fine.
