well i just got done doing my rear disc brake shoes then...at first when i started driving the car...it was fine..after celaning up and changing..got into the car and went for another test drive...thats when i heard a huge cluck...i didn't mind it untill going forward..kept hearing the cluck but thought it would go away then as i started going faster the left rear wheel started to wobby then the sound got louder!!!! could it be the wheel bearing or should i just start riping everthing apart and start at zero to see if i could figure out the problem...

If you've had the disk off then you maybe haven't got it back on squarely so its jamming on the pads as if it was warped (one of my rears is warped only by 1mm yet once it heats up the brake fluid enough and the brakes start to jam on then the full car can seriously
judder about). Could be one of the bushes from the suspension that has been ok upto now, but as you've jacked it up its moved it a bit and freed it off so it now allows the hub to move. I would definitely not drive it until you've found out what it is, if it is your disc and it is sticking then continual driving will end up warping it like mine. If its anything else then driving it could have worse effects. Dan |
