ever since my swap (5s to 5s) i have had a check engine light. it was only on sometimes before, but now it had been on for a solid 2 months now. now here is the problem... when i get it diagnosed, it says it is the cam positioning sensor. to my knowledge, and the knowledge of anyone else i have talked to, niether my old engine, nor the new engine have a cam positioning sensor. so my questions are if the car never had this part.. why the hell is the ecu looking for it, and how can i fix this problem?

nate you need to find out the code #. You can go to AutoZone and they will check the code for free. They will even look it up for you and give you the meaning of the code. From there we can diognos the problem and fix it.
