OK...i just got my hotwires today..put them in no problem. But before i put in my last two wires i looked inside the boot and noticed a small amount of gel on the inside of the rubber hose that extends into the engine and to the spark plug. After i put all of them on i started my car up and WHOAH!! the damn thing sounds like a piece of crud old school bug thats about to break down. It sounds likes its running on 2 cylinders ( i dont know that for sure but its really spaced out and weak sounding) I started it...backed it up alittle...realized it had absolutely no chance of smoothing out...and pulled it back into the carport for further inspection...i checked everything and all my grounds are connected...is that gel posing a problem?? or is there something else im not doing? Please help...thanks alot.

well if the gel was there before you installed new plug wires then i would probably so no its no the gels fault and to give him a break

i would double check to make sure that the wires arent broken inside ..

make sure that its properly connected at the distributor

or just back in your old wires and see if that works.
