has anyone here has ever done timing belt, adjust their own valves, and install their own head gasket? im asking cause im doing it but im not great under the hood. the shop quoted me over 500 on this and im thinking WOW. the thing i need to know most is adjusting the valves and the timing belt. thanks yall

Ok guys i might be stupid but i am in the middle of changing my timming belt.
I don't see any way to adjust the valves on mine the cam lobes sit on what i would guess are the lifters. i know mine is a different engine 7afe are they different? i mean in the way the cam is installed but other than replacing the lifters if that is in fact what they are i would not see any way to adjust the valves. Is the 5sfe different in that way? I have yet to experiance the 5s engine......just wondering. -------------------- 94 st
