Well, after riding around with an unpainted car (all in primer) and just ordering a set of underbody blue neons and 20 LEDS it finally has set in, my car is slow, unpainted with neons, im a ricer... I cant help it tho, I like neons ^_^

but what is the point in having a fast car? You just dumped $4000 into a swap, and can pass most things on the road, but once they turn off on the next block, does it really matter if you won or not? To me body kits make more sense, ya speed is fun, but having a nice looking car will get you more attention.

You get your jollies from people looking I get my jollies from driving my car. Maybe power is pointless to you but its not to me. I've spent money on making my car perfect for me, not people looking.

And once you pass those people who you desire to look does it really matter if they looked or not? Same argument can be posed with both looks & power.

I agree with everything you said except the above sentence. There are a number of us that have running swaps and, although getting the bugs out takes time and money, most are fairly reliable once sorted.

it's a ratio. compared to people that have celicas w/ 3sgtes, the ones that are running PERFECTLY, with no bugs what-so-ever, like a stock car, are rare. most have things like speedo's not working, or vacuum problems, or bla bla bla. things that do not warrant a "running car". i should have specified that i meant a car that ran as if it were stock, with no problems, other than required maintenance, such as an oil change.

You dont get perfection when you build something like this. Its something you need to deal with before you decide to do a swap.
